“When we become strong on our psychological surface, we become weak at our psychological core.”
The two elemental forces of the living world are love and fear. Every thought, every emotion, every impulse is shaped by one of those two elemental forces. Love is the product of trust. Fear is the product of mistrust.
It is through trust that we connect to higher fields of energy. You must open yourself up to a higher power to feel that higher power. Of course, that makes you vulnerable. The same openness that can generate your highest love can also validate your deepest fears. We’ve all been betrayed in our lives, seen ourselves taken advantage of. But the idea that everyone is out for themselves and will take advantage of you is not the cold hard truth of the world. It’s the cold hard perception within yourself. Understand that you contributed to other’s betrayal of you. You’ve greeted that person with your guard up, wearing your suit of armor so to speak. They’ve sensed your defensiveness and have acted in kind.
They’ve donned their suit of armor. And the jousting begins.
Most people spend their lives jousting with just about everyone they meet. Granted, it’s a low level version of sport. We don’t gore each other with lances, but the conflict is there nonetheless. And conflict on any level precludes us from connecting with each other at the level of our soul. Sure, there is a part of us that is energized by this conflict, but there is a deeper part of us that is weakened by it. It’s the law physics applied to the polarity of our perception. When we become strong on a surface, we become weak at our core. And vice versa.
You are empowered by what you trust; you are weakened by what you mistrust. Any field of energy that isn’t expanding is by physical law dissipating. So take all the woo-woo out of it and simply look at your perception as what it is: a field of energy. If your awareness isn’t expanding, it is dissipating. Your outlook on life is simply coming apart. It’s not a fact of life. It’s a choice of physics. Your perception doesn’t have to stagnate. It simply needs new sources of energy. And that source is other people.
Understand that the very sensation of dying is nothing more than entropy taking hold of your perception. Your awareness stagnates, and begins to dissipate. This sensation feels like death to you, and from the point of view of your awareness, it is.
